Ichabod Oldbuck Press is an independent comic book publishing company. We say comic books, because we long for the unpretentious pre-graphic novel days. Our roots are buried deep in the pulps of the 1940's, Marvel comics of the 1960's, and the Saturday morning adventures of Johnny Quest.
Ichabod is focused on creating original, compelling, wonder-filled myths that rest nicely on the shelf beside the works of Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, Bill Finger, Will Eisner and Wally Wood. If you don’t know who these people are we can provide you a reading list. Or, stop by for coffee and we’ll gladly share our worn issues with you.
Founded by writer/artist Steve John, Ichabod is committed to fun and loud sequential storytelling done in the style of the greats —that means the type and panels are drawn and hand-inked — no shortcuts. And while we think that each issue is a masterpiece, we're completely fine if you fold the issue up and stick it in your back pocket, or spill your latte on its’ glorious pages.
